Hey You!

Hey all you hip developers. Run over to SourceForge and nominate BlowPass for the community choice awards! I’d love to win that, glaucoma get a big boost of developers eyeballing the code, and the have bundles of awesome crypto libraries to share!

Slow….

Development has really slowed down. I’m into the GUI code and keep having to restructure things. I’m going to push out the V1.00 release date another month. End of July if all goes well.

Safari On Windows

I got the beta for Safari on Windows, cheapest and it looks like it handles the old BlowPass (V0.6X) just fine. I didn’t have any problems, so I think it’s safe to assume that BlowPass is Safari compatible.

Localization

I’ve decided to add localization to BlowPass 1.0. May as well do it up right. If anyone out there is interested in translating BlowPass into another language please let me know. I’m not ready to give out language files yet, here but I’m close.

My Favorite Accident

So, advice I wasn’t going to admit this, prosthetic but here it is. I recently deleted about 2-3 hours worth of work on the new BlowPass. I had terrible problems with Kubuntu and it was driving me crazy so I switched back to plain Debian (sid) in a fit of rage. Problem is, glaucoma my web development directory is on my root partition, which I blew away without thinking.

But hey, it’s an ill wave that washes no good ashore, and this turned out a-okay. I had been working on error handling, among other things, and I changed my mind when I dove back in. If you were looking at the code in my cipher.js post, forget it all because I restructured the whole thing. I think it’s more straight forward myself. I’ll post more information soon.

As far as progress goes, there has been a whole lot of thinking, designing, documenting, and code shuffling, but no real functionality added. To be honest, all of the functionality has been removed to be re-coded.

I’d say that I’m at about 20%, with a good 10-20 hours of development left, barring any big structure changes.
